In my experience, golfers are more boring. They’ve got different courses, clubs, shoes, events etc etc and love to go into the minutiae of every shot. They rarely see the glazed expression on ones face as reason to stop.

Skiers are almost as boring but completely evangelical twats. If you tell someone who likes skiing that you’ve never been, they won’t shut up about how ‘you should go,’ or even ‘you must go.’

If you can tolerate the company of such a presumptuous bore, and ask them what they like about it, generally the second or third thing they mention is the apres-ski. What sort of f**king magical experience can it be if people very soon start talking about getting pissed and eating melted cheese??!

For these reasons I hate skiers much more.
