Beardy-Weirdies kept bringing up the sinking of the Belgrano for ages, you know the type, against everything western, huzzah for communism, leader of the labour party etc... and always ignored the fact the slap the Argentinians got in the falklands war brought down their military dictatorship the same year and they've been a democracy ever since. A basket case sometimes, but a democracy nevertheless. People died but it freed a country of 40 million.
