Stig of the dump? :) I've been on first name terms with most of the scrap yard and breakers yard guys for years, I learnt 'cars' swinging off a car 3 cars high in a scrap yeard near where I was serving my apprenticeship, the old guy liked me so taught me how to use a gas axe and cranes and such to save me climbing.

Those halcyion days of Britsh Leyland cars are making me quite nostalgic.

Edit, another car story, I had an old Viva van (the yellow ex BT one) hand painted green (I'd swapped it for a Lada) and fancied a sunroof for it, one was sourced from the scrap yard and a hole cut in the roof mostly with a jigsaw till I ran out of blades so finished with tin snips, took my old fella for a drive and as it was raining poor dad had water dripping on his head, a couple of cycle inner tubes cured that....
