Your child has to isolate for 14 days as a contact of someone with covid.

No one else in your family has to.

To break it down..
So child has been in contact with a child with covid on the 18th (as an example)

Child has to isolate and their isolation ends on the 31'st(14 days) and can continue as normal on the 1st

Family members can continue as normal do not have to isolate

Child gets a test and is a positive test, Child has to isolate for 10 days from the 18th.

Family members now need as they are contact(child) have to isolate for 14 days from the 18th.

If Family members take a test and are now positive they have to isolate for 10 days from the 18th.

I don't make the rules, just a person who has to call people to explain the above.
