The particular reason for this is that for some people the vaccine does not provide protection, that person is more at risk if the come in contact with an unvaccinated host than a vaccinated one. You say they are not connected but the whole concept of herd immunity is based on the fact they are.

Can you explain exactly how a person is more at risk if they come into contact with an unvaccinated infected person than they are a vaccinated infected person?

If it were uniformly true that the virus becomes more vicious in the bodies of the unvaccinated then whY are we not seeing evermore worsening variants coming out of parts of the world which have a large proportion of unvaccinated people? The last major variant to come out of an area with 60/70%+ unvaccinated people was Nommycron, which is said to be significantly milder than all other leading brands.
