I saw someone doing a shit in a gutter outside Satan's once.

The Northern Quarter has many wofty bars, some of which have ping-pong tables in. There are a few decent bars around the top of Oxford Road as well, especially if you want to twat a student.

Drink and dance in the Conti nightclub.

Visit a strip club down Whitworth Street.

Grab a hot takeaway curry in the Plaza Cafe on Upper Brook Street on your way back to your hotel.

God how long is a piece of string

What do you want to see / drink.

Falls into a few areas

Spinningfields- loads of cocktail bars and what I call Instagram bars -!places to take pictures of where you are at for one drink for 10 quid each rather than two to your mates

Northern quarter - not what it was, mainly over run by students or hipsters - I feel very old round there - I’m 39.

Peter street / quay street - had a resurgence. Has all your chain bars and Albert schloss which is where all tourists go for the evening - great northern warehouse opposite for the casino if it’s a 6am job.

Deansgate locks - where you’ll find your kids drinking

Canal street - if you lot are very VERY close.....

I can take you on a tour of my favourites but they’re my favourites and please don’t take this the wrong way - they don’t have tourists in disrupting my evening saying about “how amazing Manchester’s night life is” and posting it all on Instagram.

I am much more fun than I sound

The guided tour won't work as you can probably drink us all under the table and my Mates wife is a bit strange and probably couldn't cope with as a stranger dragging her to different pubs. Cheers for the offer.

Which area do you normally drink in and a couple of pub suggestions would be useful. She can then TripAdvisor them and will probably be happy then.

Cheers everyone.

Cloudwater taproom.

Callum wanked himself silly about the Northern Monk taproom. Beermoth is incredible as well*

When I went a few years back, everyone in South Club seemed really old. They play Oasis and indie stuff. But I blacked out after 15 minutes so reliability may be lacking.

*assuming you like proper beer.

Cloudwater is absolutely top dollar box office stuff that taught me stuff about beer I didn't even know was possible but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for a night out. You'll be gone by 9pm!

Will try my hardest to avoid it for the Salford weekender next month. Revert back to spoons and 42s

Had to force myself to an hour in there. 12pm feeling wankered isn't smart, or funny.

The YCFC boys do the Northern Quarter when in Mcr before Fuck'em or Salford. Decent mix of smelly old pubs, ale pubs, and trendy bars.

That said, the 'drinking area' they've created around Victoria/Deansgate is OK too.
