Will be in Bucharest on a weekend later in the year. Not a clue whether any of them will be at home, just wondering if any of them were worth a trip.

Rapid and FCSB have unfortunately knocked their grounds down recently. Latter play at the national.

The protest/fans club CSA Steaua are in the 4th Division.

Dinamo have a quality old ground, worth a look.

For all, just rock up and purchase on the day....If you're interested and they're at home I took the one hour train journey to Ploesti. Their ultras are back from boycott, and the town is more 'authentic' to the stereotype of Romania. A lovely little pub behind the ground as well. Rather contrasting though as the ground is brand new, but the surrounding area makes Luton look like Bath.

Thank you, will try and check out the Dinamo ground. We’re driving back from Brasov to Bucharest so might stop in Ploesti anyway to break up the journey, but likely on the Friday unfortunately.

You might get lucky, as the Romanians play at weird times.

I saw Ploesti on a Wednesday night.

Watched Dinamo v Leverkusen in '06. Ground was poor then but I believe they've tarted it up a bit since then. Also did a visit to the old Steaua ground which was quite nice. As below, cheap tickets and the local skirt is very attractive :D

I've watched a Europa game at the National Stadium just over 3 years ago.

Football isn't really well supported in the Eastern side of Europe and you would normally have no trouble getting a ticket. I never have had trouble buying a match ticket and I've watched football in over 30 different countries.

Entry into matches are quite cheap and you'll more likely need to show your passport when purchasing your ticket.

Mate is over from Red Star (Belgrade). His grandfather ended up in South Wales following WW2 and settled there (never moved back to Yugoslavia) so in his search to find out his family history has developed a fondness for the area.

He text today to say he's got me and him a ticket so he can tick Wembley.

That's cool. I would imagine a Red Star fan will find our "ultra" effort positively hilarious, although I suspect the drunken singing lout fraternity will be out in force. Tickets seem to be disappearing quite quickly for this one looking at ticketmaster.

Apparently a friend of a friend is an acquaintance of Red Star's "top man". The friend is not violent himself, but prints the song sheets, stitches the flags or some such and so is held in fairly high regard.

At the Arsenal game last season my friend accompanied him, and met the ultras. He said they were very polite, but he'd never met anyone with such an air of brooding malice.

That Arsenal game, loads of people didn't travel because of Visa's, main capo certainly wasn't there. Lot I go to games with didn't make it, even though they were at every other game that campaign.

I can agree with what your friend said, however. I'm fortunate to now be invited to stand next to the core group, and know a few of the older lot. All top, top guys and a couple of lifelong friends, but I wouldn't get on the wrong side of them. A reason Delije have the reputation they have.

He was in the south Wales paper looking for anyone who might have heard of his grandfather, they didn't know anything that happened to him as he lost contact. Luckily someone spoke up and he's found out a lot of information.

He came over to the UK for the first time in February and made the trip to S. Wales...very cool story. This time he's with his Mrs so we're sneaking off and TCMBS is showing her around.

He won't care about the atmosphere... Wants to visit Wembley and see football
