It would be easier just to ban gender reveal parties.

This is how it should be done...

Surprised gender reveal hasn’t been banned as labelling the kid before it has had chance to make its own mind up

My misses often has us awake until 7pm Alberta time to see reveal parties of people I have never and will never meet.
One was a green smoke which apparently meant that the parents wanted earth to decide the childs gender.

Did you find out the gender of your kids before they were born?
Re: Darwin Award contender

Probably - he needed to get them on the list for the right schools as soon as possible

How up yourself do you have to be to believe anyone gives that much of a shit what gender your baby is going to be a few months before they'd find out anyway? These pointless social occasions, along with engagement parties can stay banned after Covid.

Surely nobody gives a shit about what gender a person's child is at any point in time, apart from perhaps when both the child and your own are both teenagers?
I honestly could not give a shit. I can't recall ever being delighted to hear that a friend is having another 'prefer not to say'.

I'm also curious as to why it needs to involve explosives and fire.

No, but now I can't stop thinking about the untapped potential of a bum surgery/fireworks combination open air display as a spectator event.

That is incredibly insensitive in view of what happened last November. When I close my eyes I can still see that First Aid tent exploding. All those lives irreperably damaged, all for the sake of a stupid practical joke - I hope you're proud of yourself.

You could have been a Youtube sensation if you'd done a bit of planning.

I can still see the look on that St. John's Ambulance woman's face, or at least the half of it that was left. Sadly she was to lose the rest of it in an unrelated quiche scalding later that day, she looks like a Chupa Chup* now.

I'm glad you used an asterisk, I would have been horrified by the thought of a strawberries and cream flavoured quiche.
