The pension age change really screwed up my mum's plans, in that she took early retirement from where she worked when most were being made redundant, and this was before the changes were mooted. She had planned financially to work until 60, but the pension age change left her working full-time and she's still working now.
In the meantime plenty of other women her age will probably be doing the same, and blocking jobs for younger people. And no, she doesn't go on 4 holidays a year, it's been one in the last 5 years. I'm all for Boomer bashing, but when the goalposts get moved and it screws over humble innocent people it's not really on.
