World Mental Health Day

Our school held a Teams assembly which my year 9 form ignored. The staff then were rewarded with a two hour meeting about our Ofsted two weeks ago. The leadership got Requires Improvement so naturally we've been told tonight about all the changes is footsoldiers need to make.

You don't want an Outstanding anyway. All the tossers will start turning up and demanding specialist provisions for their unique child. Sounds like too much hassle.

My kid's school asked people to wear something yellow today. Stuck a yellow hat on them. I was surprised to see that a large proportion of kids were entirely yellow.

Can't recall this having been such a big thing even last year let alone any other time in my life.

Still, I suppose it's a positive. Tomorrow we can all go back to a world of misery and ignorance. The mental people have had their day in the sun.

I currently work for an NHS Trust that deals in mental health They have naturally put stuff up on social media, and advised that this year the focus is on mental health at work. Well I work in an occupational health department, and there has been nothing from us, not even a mention in our team meeting this morning. Fantastic.

Anyway, I have honoured the day by getting home, pouring a beer, and watching the sun set whilst sat by our garden pond. Just keeping doing the little things to try to keep sane.
