When you voted for brexit and the numbers flew up it was everybody else's fault and there was no link between your victory and immigration. If they went nuclear and bin the ECHR then a lot of the outdated legal barriers to deportation are removed and processing will be quicker.

No, Meerkat, I don't. What is funny is that I haven't presented my understanding of anything, I've merely said things you've uttered then sarcastically laughed at the obvious conclusions to your BS.

I pointed out to you years ago that low wages was down to businesses making big profits and the rich keeping it, at the expense of the poor. After over a decade of wealth shifting upwards at a really fast rate, you have decided to agree.

Your 'immigration is in the open' and 'who believed the numbers under the EU' comments are laughably pathetic. The numbers were compiled by the same people. The reality is that you kicked us out of a good trade deal to get immigration lower and immigration ain't changed downwards.

I'm sure we did have rights under Parliamentary laws and Court law. If you were reading properly there was a scary line put out by the Tories before the 2019 election where they wanted to attack the judiciary element of our system. Let's not forget the whining about parliament when you didn't get what you wanted, let's not forget 'enemies of the state' or 'crush the saboteurs'. Personally, I quite like the idea of an extra check and balance, especially having seen Corruption Johnson and his contempt for Britain and knowing that Fascist Farage sits in the wings.

We were right to give refuge to certain people fleeing Ukraine, Hong Kong and Afghanistan. This obviously created a big spike over the last few years but even so the Tories failed miserably overall on immigration. Labour should now be able to deliver a massive improvement on the figures but I’ve zero faith in them doing so because Starmer has shown himself to be an industrial-scale turncoat on so many issues. I’m not even convinced Reform would be able to get the numbers down to acceptable levels.

While we would struggle to agree on policy etc, it is nice to see a bit more honesty in your post.

The reality is that someone posted the other day saying that our population rose 6.9% between 2010 and 2020. When I looked up world population it went up 12.6% in the same period, so comparatively speaking our population is rising slowly. I appreciate that is a bit of a crude measure.

If I wanted Labour to attack immigration anywhere it would be to keep criminals out by beefing up on security. I think they have made a start with the Germany agreement and some of the deportations that have happened.
