Seems to me that more and more people think immigration is too high now and politicians are having to talk about it (although they are shit scared of stopping it because of the recession that will inevitably follow).

That's the point, though. Immigration is so high that Starmer is talking about it. He can't not talk about it. But what's he going to do - keep shrugging his shoulders and blaming the Tories? (A recession is probably coming regardless.)

Certainly.

And would prefer a recession with no immigration than continue as we have for the last dot years.

I've banged on about this since 1992 and witnessed the country's steady decline running alongside increased immigration, and received dogs abuse for speaking out about it.
