Ooooh it’s getting good now.
They have just gone through the election (with descriptions of how Corbyn diverted Labour resources from winnable seats to try to stop a Jewish lady being elected in Finchley). The Tory victory and some of the Labour hubris, which for some lasted right up to the release of the exit poll). And Milne’s immediate press releases blaming Brexit (and therefore Starmer and his Remainer group) for the loss, rather than Comrade Corbyn. Now we are on to Covid. Cummings saving the day, pushing hard for lockdowns and against the scientists’ sombrero/herd immunity approach. And Boris is a whisker away from intensive care, with Raab in charge. What a time it all was. 12-12-2024, 09:18 AM in response to #84161 Baldman Wrote: Ooooh it’s getting good now. some of the Labour hubris, which for some lasted right up to the release of the exit poll You've just reminded me of that Novara (remember them?) video, so thanks for that. 18-12-2024, 07:41 AM in response to #84278
This is quite a book. What is really coming across is how much of a bad faith actor the EU was. Barnier was a joke and quickly sidelined. They rowed back from the original presentation about what deals were available. Introduced new requirements at the 11th hour. And then threw the Northern Ireland protocol out of the window because they’d screwed up their vaccine program.

It was literally their goal to remove him him, and they did. I’m not sure that a PM has been so comprehensively destroyed by someone outside of government before? 19-12-2024, 08:25 AM in response to #84999 Baldman Wrote: Man dem still reading book Unless you count Farage's destruction of Cameron. If we're counting members/owners of the press then Lord Northcliffe - in cahoots with Lloyd George - did a pretty comprehensive number on Asquith. And then there's Spencer Perceval of course, whose destruction was almost certainly the most complete. |
