Should have called her what she clearly is - a museum fascist. 04-12-2024, 02:16 PM in response to #83029
All these nice things have to be kept in Britain as otherwise they just get smashed by the half-witted natives or nicked by rampaging armies. The fact we've got all this stuff proves the second point

"We have had to take care of these important items whilst their source countries have been utter shitshows" You should have accused her of racism for deleting all African and Asian items from her version of history. 04-12-2024, 02:30 PM in response to #83029 Greek Card Wrote: Two lads who climbed up the side in 1941, avoiding the Germans, and nicked the Swastika that was flying up there before making it down again unmolested. Vertiginous stuff. It was incredibly windy when I was up there in August 2023. Wind was whipping up fires all around the city too, but fortunately a north easterly blowing smoke sort of past Athens. Really dry heat, so although it was 37 degrees you hardly even sweated getting up there. And, my family all stayed in the hotel. Bliss. I also managed to buy an "Oedipus The Original Motherfucker" t shirt for a mate's 50th on the way up. I very discreetly put it on for a selfie in front of the Parthenon, thinking if the Greeks catch me doing this they will be sure to throw me in jail. Probably as brave as those flag-nicking lads. 04-12-2024, 02:31 PM in response to #83014 04-12-2024, 02:32 PM in response to #83036 04-12-2024, 02:37 PM in response to #83040 04-12-2024, 02:39 PM in response to #83038 The Rev Rob SBFC Wrote: Vertiginous stuff. First time I ever went up it was 43 degrees and lunchtime. This was after a litre or so of ouzo the night before. I was 21. If I tried that now the strays would be picking at my dessicated carcas by the side if the road. 04-12-2024, 02:53 PM in response to #83009 |
